2. Support vector machine and optimization techniques.
3. Principle component analysis.
4. Maximum likelihood estimation.
5. Density of scalar kernels.
6. Multiscale kernels, extension of AM and examples for learning more than one feature.
7. Density of multiscale kernels.
8. A feature space perspective for learning the kernel.
9. Spectral Learning.
10. Regularizer for structured sparcity.


Introduction of the lecturer:

Prof. Charles A. Micchelli, faculty of Department of Mathematics and Statistics, University at Albany, SUNY, is the world's leading expert on approximation. He gave a 45-minute presentation on the International Congress of Mathematicians in 1983 and once worked for IBM T.J. Watson Research Center.
